Profile bio

About Marija Ivanovic

Experienced Senior Research Associate with a strong background in biomedical engineering and data science seeking a transition from academia to industry. Recently relocated to Bayern, Germany, I am excited to leverage my expertise in biomedical data analysis, machine learning, and signal processing to tackle challenging problems and contribute to the development of innovative products and solutions. My research experience spans 12 years of work in areas of AI and data science, biomedical data collection and analysis, clinical studies and signal acquisition and processing. I have coordinated and participated in a number of multidisciplinary projects that involved both academia and industry, where I have mastered my professional and communication skills. In my collaborations with people with different backgrounds (engineers, computer scientists, programmers, physicists, physicians, patients and stakeholders), I learned how to lead a conversation on different levels and pitch for funding. I like working in a multidisciplinary team where we can discuss ideas and passing on knowledge to each other. But if necessary, I am always willing to provide my professional and personal support to colleagues and slip into a mentoring role. Being a scientific researcher who works on several projects in parallel, I learned to prioritize tasks on both daily and long-term basis. Feeling enthusiastic to work on the challenges that directly impact people’s daily lives, motivates me to initiate and implement my own ideas. Through a planned and systematic working style I was able to manage situations with an extremely high workload, to immerse myself quickly and deeply into new topics and rapidly changing conditions. I tend to get to the core of each component of my work, which enables me to spot potential errors and irregularities. When conducting analysis, I benefit from my meticulousness and strong attention to details, which allows me to quickly recognize patterns and tendencies in data and derive proper results and conclusions.

Listed skills include Matlab, Science, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and 16 others.
