Mrs. Savitt started working with children with autism during her under graduate work at California State University, Northridge in 1999. She has had a long time passion for working with people with autism and their families. During the time of her undergrad work she was trained in various methods of therapy under the Applied Behavioral Analysis label. Marija spent approximately 6 years providing direct tutoring services utilizing ABA programs such as Discrete Trial Training, Positive Behavioral Supports, and Pivotal Response Treatment. Despite the progress made under those programs she felt the need to address new areas in her practice. Marija chose to continue her education so that she can meet the many needs of the families she is working with. After her undergraduate work Marija completed her Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling also at California State University, Northridge in 2005. Shortly after that she began her training in the Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) program. Since 2006 she has primarily utilized the RDI program in her work with children with autism and their families. She appreciates the level of growth for the child as well as the empowerment of parents while participating in RDI. Mrs. Savitt has worked for herself primarily since 2006. Initially in the Las Vegas, NV area under the business name Behavioral Resolutions. More recently since 2012 under the business name Guided Spectrum in Chico, CA. Guided Spectrum is an approved vendor for the Far Northern Regional Center as well as San Diego Regional Center. More recently Mrs. Savitt has worked as a Social Worker for Butte County Children’s Services and currently Butte County Superior Court. At the Court, Mrs. Savitt works as a Child Custody Recommending Counselor (CCRC)/Mediator where she is able to assist co-parents in addressing their custodial needs and provides formal recommendations to the Court. Marija has spent decades devoted to helping parents and children address the various needs of their family system. In addition to her professional dedication to families, Mrs. Savitt is a mother to two teens who fill her days with love and laughter. Marija is dedicated to the highest quality of culturally sensitive therapeutic support for families which is delivered with authentic regard for their needs and a sincere desire to guide them in becoming the best version of themselves. She contributes both personal and professional awareness of child development, family systems, and specialized therapeutic interventions for all families.
