Civitas BiH was established in 1996 as a joint initiative of the Center for Civic Education, the United States Information Agency, and the Council of Europe. It is the Center for Civic Education’s Civitas International Programs partner in Bosnia and Herzegovina. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Through the Civitas International Programs, Civitas BiH participates in an exchange partnership between Bosnia and Herzegovina, California, Ghana, and Nevada.
