Critical Care Physician Assitant
CurrentFormulate plan of care in collaboration with medical team to deliver evidenced-based care and discuss, as necessary, with the critically ill patient. Maintain open communication concerning health care needs with family members while considering patients demographics.Order and evaluate appropriate lab and diagnostic tests to assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs. Perform procedures such as intubation, and central lines. Take care of medical, surgical, neuro, cardio, and cardiothoracic critical patients Notify attending physician when patients present atypically, and input is required from other specialties.Work closely with other departments to set up appropriate priorities for the efficient management of patient care as well as ensuring adequate time management and clinical resource utilization.Work collaboratively with allied health team to ensure timely implementation of treatment plans. Provide clear and concise transfer of clinical information among colleagues and consultants.Respond to rapid responses and code blues. Advise on patient treatment and ACLS protocol. Participate in monthly meetings to identify improvements in departmental procedures to streamline workflow.
