With our new bio-composite production process dedicated to furniture, we offer a sustainable alternative to various materials used in furniture production such as expanded polystyrene (EPS), expanded polypropylene (EPP), and polyurethane molded foam. Our company name Growmolding is derived from our manufacturing process, where active mycelium strains act like a binder that grows hemp fibre into a strong bio-composite called MBC (Mycelium Based Composite). We grow this composite inside product-specific molds. The malleable properties of hemp-based MBC allow the realization of well-defined designs for chairs, armchairs, sofas, or interior accessories. With our unique production layout, we can create large and complex molded parts that can be fitted with (natural) fillings and padding to create upholstered furniture. Growmolding allows you to create 100% sustainable furniture with intricate, customized designs.
