About Marilton Aguiar
I have a degree in Computer Science from the Catholic University of Pelotas (1995), a master's and doctorate in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1998 and 2004, respectively). From 2001 to 2009, I was a professor at the Catholic University of Pelotas. Since 2009, I have been a professor at the Federal University of Pelotas in the Postgraduate Program in Computing (master's and doctoral levels) and in the Computer Science and Engineering courses. Since December 2020, I have been Director of the UFPel Technological Development Center, where I was Adjunct Director from December 2016 to December 2020. I work in Computer Science, emphasizing Artificial Intelligence applications in solving environmental and health problems, mainly in the following subjects: Evolutionary Systems, Multiagent Systems, Machine Learning, and Image Processing.
