I currently enrolled as part-time college student in Early Childhood Education. I have been a teacher for multiple age levels, in both public and private education field. These positions have enabled me to give students with mastering basic level skills in early childhood development. I have been challenged to be a creative, nurturing and most of all, patient person.Before starting college, I had an opportunity to volunteer at Salnave Elementary School in Cheney, WA under an AmeriCorps state and federally funded program. This position allowed me to assistant teachers in their local school systems. I coordinated activities and reading skills with a classroom instructor. In AmeriCorps I also volunteered with other non-profit organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club, to help build a cohesive community development.During college, I had another opportunity to volunteer at Lockwood Elementary School in Kenmore, WA in the first-grade classroom. This position allowed me to assist in the first grade helping assist the lead teacher through daily activities. The objective in Educ 102, was to experience the field of education in the local school districts.It is my goal to combine my range of experience and skills with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to your school.
