Technical Support Specialist
CurrentTechnical Support Specialists implement, and support all of the school district’s technology initiatives and infrastructure. Careful collaboration with all stakeholders helps ensure that district technology needs are met in the most effective and efficient manner and that Forsyth remains a leader in leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning. A small staff of system engineers and technicians support all facets of the enterprise from conception, to configuration and distribution, through the day-to-day administration and support. Thirty six schools and several district administration and support buildings are connected via fiber optics on a gigabit Ethernet network. All of our district classrooms are outfitted with at least four desktop computers in addition to a multimedia projector and interactive whiteboard.District-wide that comes to over 6,500 notebook computers and over 14,500 desktop computers which have a positive impact on how our students learn. Our objective is to be as proactive as possible, and resolve problems as quickly as possible to minimize down-time and negative impact on instruction.
