These assets are currently stored on Shared Drives. Recently, Transport Service Board began a response to an evolving set of expectations from its employees on how to meet challenges, prepare for the future, and better serve the transport system. Investing in a new content service platform enables a new TSB experience that can modernize the workspace of Transport Safety Board. TSB intends to implement a GCdocs solution. It will enhance process productivity and employee productivity, while maintaining trusted oversight. It will deliver the intuitive tools that users want in order to enhance their day to day experience. Marilyn Hurley was brought in as the Project Manager to lead this initiative. Show less

The purpose of this project was to develop a new system using the Microsoft Dynamics client relationship management product. The new system directly addresses the business priority to modernize the delivery of consular services to Canadians abroad, to reduce the effort spent on data entry, and streamline routine activities and information management as it relates to case management, registration, emergency management and contact management processes. The implementation of a GCdocs solution in the cloud, integration with MS 365/SharePoint and CCM Enterprise within TC requires both technological and business change and process innovation. PCH will implement a new document and records management practice based upon… Show more The implementation of an EDRMS (Electronic Document Records Management System) solution within PCH requires both technological and business change and process innovation. Experience within the Government of Canada and industry has shown that EDRMS solutions are now proven technology and therefore the bulk of the project effort and leadership needs to be focused on the change management aspects of implementation. PCH will implement a new document and records management practice based upon OpenText products procured for the Government of Canada’s GCDOCS V2.0 program. (GCDOCS V2.0 is the Government of Canada licensed solution built upon OpenText Content Server 2010 version 10.5). Moving to implement a GCDOCS within PCH puts the Department on the path to an enterprise information environment that is trusted, inspires confidence, delivers efficiency across the Department and supports the achievement of both PCH’s operational mandate as well as compliance with Government of Canada policy and direction. Together with open dialogue, these pillars make up the federal government’s commitment to enhance transparency and accountability. It is powered by three open source tools – CKAN the metadata registry, Drupal – the web content management system, and Solr – the search platform. These resources are in a final state, and are proactively published by departments to open.canada.ca as part of the Directive on Open Government.In addition, a new “Open by Default Pilot” project has been developed to provide access to more GC resources and extending it to working-level information and data as part of the Government’s commitment to openness and transparency. This project will increase “open by default” across the GC by operationalizing visibility and co-creation. This project will leverage the existing open source tools that power open.canada.ca (CKAN, Drupal and Solr), GCDOCS and associated features, as well as best lessons learned from the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation (CSTMC) Open by Default program. The ‘Open by Default’ proof of concept was completed in July 2017. This proof of concept was the first phase of the open by default initiative, and provides access to working documents selected by 4 pilot departments: Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Natural Resources Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada and Canadian Heritage. These documents were pushed from departmental GCDocs / record management systems to an interim sandbox environment and then to CKAN for publication on open.canada.ca. The second phase of the Open by Default project will remove this interim sandbox environment, and push records directly from GCDocs to open.canada.ca. Also acted as the Senior Project Manager to manage specific projects such as Enterprise Content Management, Sharepoint Collaboration, and eDiscovery.

Marilyn led the Professional Service team for the Canadian Public Sector across Canada. This included the Federal Government, Provincial Government and six major municipalities and their affiliates. We specialized in Enterprise Content Management/Information Management implementations projects.

This role was to promote and improve employee retention and satisfaction, resource placement on billable assignments, help ensure competitive compensation, and manage billing and utilization efficiencies. Specialized in RDIMS/Informaton Management projects.

Created and managed a Training Practice that was an important revenue-generating component of Fastlane Technologies.

·Successfully managed the migration of FastLane Technology Education Department after the acquisition by incorporating the existing education framework into Quest Software, Inc. This covered both Oracle and Microsoft technology
