Founded in 2015, Veriff is a global tech company and industry leader in online identity verification. I joined Veriff as an early employee and during my 5 years tenure, the company grew from 45 people in Tallinn to 500+ people globally, and became Estonia's 8th unicorn by reaching the 1.5-billion-dollar valuation in 2022.As a Customer Researcher, I conducted research about our B2B customers in various industries to understand their needs to online identity verification products. Main methods included in-depth interviews, customer journey mapping and service blueprinting.

In addition to understanding customers, I did generative and evaluative UX research about both internal users and global end-users. One of my most important roles was to be the advocate for human-centered design in the company. Close collaboration with design, product, marketing, revenue and executive teams; mentoring fellow researchers; consulting designers, product managers and other team members on independent research projects.

I joined Memorial University of Newfoundland to work as a fully-funded Graduate Researcher and conduct qualitative research in Human-Climate interaction in the province of Newfoundland & Labrador.Research was funded by Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), a federal research funding agency. I owned the full end-to-end research process: research planning and design, participant recruitment, qualitative data collection and analysis, focus groups and research results presentation to stakeholders in local communities in Canada and academic conferences in the US.

Established in 2008, Nordic Food Lab investigated food diversity and deliciousness, by combining scientific and humanistic approaches with culinary techniques from around the world to explore the edible potential of the Nordic region.
