• Manage and implement strategic projects that positively impact St. Petersburg College’s enrollment and the Marketing and Strategic Communications department.• Serve as the interface between the Marketing and Strategic Communications department, external vendors and the college-wide faculty and staff to facilitate strategic execution and assessment of marketing and communications projects for the Marketing and Strategic Communications department.• Project manage marketing and communication initiatives on assigned projects, which include: developing and implementing marketing plans; negotiating media sponsorships; analyzing customer trends; managing information and measuring progress on tasks, projects, and goals; and performing related activities.

• Works internally, inter-departmentally, with media and community to coordinate and execute marketing, public/media relation and communication plans, projects, and strategies.• Writes, edits, and proofreads publications, press releases, media advisories, web content, feature stories, and other communication materials.• Develops a variety of marketing, public/media relation and communication materials to promote college programs, services and initiatives, which includes creating and editing marketing materials; developing timelines; managing projects and determining distribution methods in order to reach intended audience(s).• Attends functions as a representative of the college to coordinate and facilitate internal and external coverage, to include: working with media; cultivating multimedia content for print, website and social media

• Writing, proofing and editing press releases, media briefs, news articles, feature stories and other publication pieces• Researching local and national news stories to develop media pitches in line with media trends.• Maintaining and enhancing the college’s brand identity through positive media coverage.• Cultivating positive relationships with media sources, and expanding the college’s reach with local and national journalists and publications.

• Updating social channels with creative content related to images, graphics and videos. • Manage social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+.• Developing and implementing marketing and communication plans• Develop and maintain relevant content for specialty blogs to attract readers• Responds accurately and in a timely manner to inquiries posted on social media channels; updating social channels with creative content related to images, graphics and videos.
