As Director of Merchandising, I was responsible for overseeing and coordinating the overall functions of designing, creating, sourcing, marketing, and budgeting for products. Used consumer insights to deliver products for local market needs. I worked with Operations and Purchasing to ensure the right amount of goods are available to sell and are being sold at the right price. Worked closely with buyers and other managers to plan product ranges, met with suppliers and distributors, managed budgets, and predicted sales and profits. As a general manager, I managed not just the back of the house, but a staff of 10 employees. I made the schedules, had one of my district's lowest turnover rates, read the PnLs every period, and changed my ordering accordingly to reach my companies KPI's. I ran monthly and yearly inventory. Won awards for reaching sales goals and for achieving the highest amount of app signups when we launched it.
