In addition, in consultation with pharmacist-in-charge, I mitigated clinical risk, improved productivity, optimised resource utilisation and introduced cyber security measures and technologies to secure customer and business data, buildings and stock. I formulated strategies that increased the average gross profits of the pharmacies from approximately 32% to at least 40% for each one for the whole 11.5 years, even during 7 years of reducing Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme payments. This was achieved by introducing more rigorous financial controls, elevating employee productivity, reducing operating costs, identifying new sources of revenue and training staff to provide outstanding levels of customer service, conducting local advertising campaigns.My role also included ensuring regulatory compliance, securing QCPP Quality Care Pharmacy Program accreditation, introducing the policies and procedures for the pharmacy use, optimising the Group’s purchasing power, and strengthening community relationships.
