I had the pleasure of editing the Sturgis Rider Daily from the grounds of the Buffalo Chip Campground during the 2014 Sturgis Rally. This first-year publication was a daily tabloid newspaper printed and distributed eight consecutive days to deliver all the rally news fit to print, not only to Buffalo Chip campers but also regionally. Chip campers received the Daily at their campsites starting at 6:00 AM each morning, making the Buffalo Chip the only campground - in Sturgis or anywhere - with its own daily newspaper. Another 5000 copies reached rally-goers at hotels, restaurants and other locales from Rapid City to Spearfish. The publication was again published for the 75th Anniversary Sturgis Rally; which I edited once again. Plans are to continue it annually.Look for the Sturgis Rider Daily to re-appear for the 75th Anniversary running of the Sturgis Rally in 2015. Bigger and better than ever.
