I trained as a mediator 30 years ago, right at the beginning of the development of mediation in the UK and have been very fortunate to be heavily involved in that development at both national and local level - through my work with National Family Mediation , Mediation UK and the College of Mediators, and as CEO of one of the largest multi mediation services in the UK, based in Shropshire. I am an FMC Accredited Family mediator and a COM/ CMC Accredited SEND ( Special Educational Needs and Disability) Mediator and a Professional Practice Consultant.I have a Diploma in Social Work from Keele University; a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Birkbeck and an MBA from the University of Wolverhampton.In 2014 I became a Partner in Prime Resolution which is now a Limited Company. Following the retirement of my original business partner on 2018 I became the sole Director for a period and am now joined by Hugo Besterman and Jack Webster. Prime Resolution currently has two main strands of work - family mediation and SEND mediation, but 2023 will see the launch of our new training division which will offer both core ( foundation ) training and CPD. Delivering mediation training is something I have enjoyed immensely in the past and am really looking forward to doing so again. I work with some fantastic people who impress me all the time. Being a mediator is hard work but we all love the opportunity it gives us to create change in peoples lives.
