A key achievement was securing a $225,000 challenge grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and planning and implementing a 3-1 matching fundraising campaign that allowed the organization to expand its local concert series to additional sites throughout the greater Pittsburgh region.

This summer festival was a thriving Equity company that performed three fully-produced plays by Shakespeare on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh, outdoor performances in the park, ancillary music programs, and matinee performances for thousands of school children.
