My interest in evolutionary biology has led me into being a researcher in this field. During my international career, I worked on the genetic basis of adaptation to biotic and abiotic stresses in plants. I have had great opportunities to analyze next-generation sequencing (NGS) data and became a bioinformatician. I worked at Biotia, a health tech company. I elaborated a pipeline to identify novel species at the International Space Station (ISS) in collaboration with NASA and I worked on SARS-CoV-2 genomic data to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Using my expertise in biology and bioinformatics, I am now working at Rapid Genomics - LGC.
