As Senior Vice President of ALSAC's largest division, I successfully led the work of up to 450 employees in ten departments - Donor Services, Donor Experience, Volunteer Event Marketing, Volunteer Event Fundraising, 3 In-House Call Centers, 5 Outsourced Call Centers, Strategic Planning, Six Sigma, Market Research and Analysis, Gift Processing & Account Maintenance, Tribute Marketing, Merchandise Marketing and Third Party Logistics. Annually, I was also responsible for two in-house Call Centers raising $30 million from volunteer led fundraising events, five outsourced call centers generating over $10 million in donations, Tribute Marketing generating $15 million, Merchandise Marketing grossing $2 million in sales of logo and branded merchandise through online and in-store purchases, and an in-house customer service center handling over 280,000 donor calls. I served as a member of ALSAC’s senior management team responsible for long range planning and decision making that affected the entire organization and its $600+ million budget. I served as team leader, member and/or staff advisor on Board of Director, Senior Staff and employee committees such as Strategic Planning, Tapestry Council, Marketing Committee, Six Sigma, and the ALSAC Katrina and Pandemic Response Teams. I led special assignments for the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Operating Officer – including in-depth functional analyses, consultant projects, management retreats, and regular reports to the BoardI served as the primary tour guide for VIPs visiting St. Jude for Marlo Thomas, board members, corporate CEOs, major donor prospects, celebrities, and one reigning monarch.I was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Dedicated Service Award presented by the ALSAC / St. Jude Board of Directors. I was also selected as the namesake for the Marilyn Elledge Award recognizing outstanding commitment and service to the mission of ALSAC and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
