About Marilyne Philibert

I specialize in the implementation, modeling and analysis of ultrasonic-based Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) solutions. My expertise and capabilities comprise:(1) the design, fabrication, integration, and demonstration of SHM systems with network of piezoelectric sensors and transducers (ceramic or polymer) customized for developing technical innovative and reliable solutions,(2) the modeling and simulation (COMSOL, CIVA) of ultrasonic waves for various applications in non-destructive, structural and condition monitoring,(3) the analysis of ultrasonic data with signal processing and imaging algorithms (Python).I am particularly interested in the integration of AI and data-driven approaches for enhancing SHM processes.In 2021, I obtained my PhD, which focused on SHM of CFRP composite structures using direct-write polymeric piezoelectric transducers and Lamb waves. Prior to that, I obtained a Master's degree in textile engineering in 2015, which provided me with skills in a wide range of fields from fibres and clothing to composites and functional materials.
