For the past twelve years I have been featured Lady Vocals in the Black Swan Classic Jazz Band. Our focus is early Jazz, Blues, Ragtime and Gospel. I was invited to join the group- without audition! This band has opened doors for me worldwide. We have taken part in three Jazz cruises (Caribbean, Alaska) and hundreds of festivals, concerts and parties all over America. The music we play is the foundation of American Art music- the journey to mastery has been a very fruitful and personally rewarding one for me!

The Jazz/Gospel Worship Service at Augustana Lutheran Church has been delivering one of the most dynamic worship experiences in the city of Portland for the past 19 years. As Vocalist, it is my job to select and sing songs that pertain to the message from the Gospel of Jesus Christ, All are welcome at the 6pm Sunday services and special Holiday observances throughout the year. The Christmas Eve service routinely draws 500+ each year!

This is my first role in a professional, mature Drama production. I portray Blues singer, Gertrude "Ma" Rainey in a play written by the late August Wilson. The story is set in a recording studio in the 1920's. The power struggle between Ma, the studio owner and her manager and her band and entourage is fed by racism, intolerance, desire and misconception. The Blues plays a role in this emotionally charged atmosphere of revelation and consequences.
