Designed all newsletters and other publications by designing layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size, style, etc. Drafted, scheduled, and analyzed all campaign data and translates it into working recommendations for improving social media campaigns. Planned and coordinated employee events to create an exceptional workplace culture.

Just 21 miles from historic Charleston, Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a world-class recreational facility with a wide selection of rental villas and private homes, five award-winning golf courses, and a variety of restaurants.As the Assistant Property Manager, Marilyn managed the vacation home rentals to ensure all were held to the highest standards. She arranged regular inspections and walkthroughs of the rental units, delegated work orders to appropriate vendors, and handled all communications between owners and tenants. She also designed and edited quarterly newsletters for property owners.

With offices in Asheville, NC, Greenville, SC, and Charleston, SC, Gulfstream Communications has over 20 years of experience publishing regional lifestyle magazines. The organization focuses on offering comprehensive coverage of the cities and their diverse communities in print, web, and design. As the Art Design Specialist for Gulfstream Communications, Marilyn designed for five publications including Charleston Magazine, Charleston Weddings, WNC Magazine, House Calls, and Grand Strand. She ensured all photos were print ready by managing the photo retouching/cloning, color correction, converting RAW images, styling photo shoots, placing advertising, and post scripting.

Milledgeville, Ga

Established in 1925, the Colonnade is the official newspaper of Georgia College. The newspapers strives to report the news and information regarding Georgia College and its community in an accurate, fair, and complete way. The paper also serves as a facilitator for debate and discussion among the community. As the Arts and Entertainment Editor, Marilyn was responsible for the delegation of reporting the arts and entertainment scene in the Georgia College and Milledgeville community. This included leading writers through the writing process, editing stories, and designing the four weekly pages in the newspaper.

As the Leisure Editor for the Colonnade, Marilyn pitched stories for writers and designed two weekly pages for the newspaper.

As Photo Editor, Marilyn directed all photography for the publication including managing teams of photographers for events, editing all photos placed in the newspaper, and coordinating images for social media.
