After many years employed "deep" in engineering concepts I wanted to "come up to shore" and gain a more prominent role in engaging customers on technical services. Had a wonderful career in the wireless industry providing engineering work on TDMA, 2G, 3G, CDMA, 4G, EVDO, LTE. Ten of those years I commuted from Madison, WI to Lombard/Itasca, IL offices until Sprint bought out that Chicago market in 2013. Spent final year clearing up projects. Successfully led contracted staff through six-month engineering project, with on-time/under budget result. Team was recognized with First Place Team plaque from parent company, TDS. Initiated process improvement tool (Excel spreadsheet) to organize, track, and locate multiple equipment orders throughout company warehouses.  Recognized for vastly increased productivity, slashing costs across the organization through enhanced processing methods, including internal associates, external vendors, and warehouse personnel. Managed a myriad of data logistics associated with large volumes of equipment material quoting, ordering, warehousing and releasing to cell sites each fiscal year.  Procured $10M+ network equipment necessary to support system expansion and growth of USCC’s wireless cell site network including 4G/LTE and EvDo. Prepared countless site engineering for ALU router installations, developed port configurations and maintained route IP addresses for assigned OSPF areas.  Communicated and presented to management timely/effective purchasing decisions Successfully led teams in various locations through remote supervision and extensive travel. Spearheaded routine project status calls to assess multiple projects and accelerate deliverables.  Evaluated and prioritized projects within engineering teams, warehousing personnel, and external / 3rd party vendors to maintain availability of equipment/resources for deployment at cell sites. Enlisted contracted staff; hiring, coaching, and training to support corporate efforts and goals. Oversaw $2M annual equipment budget, collaborating with Senior Project Managers and Director level staff.
