Italia Innovation is an independent organization specialized in bridging the best of the academic, social and business worlds to support the advancement of the Italian economic and political landscape.Since 2014, we have been organizing every summer a nationwide program that spans the entire country. In this program, scholars selected from universities around the world, all sharing our passion for excellence in teaching and research, come together to study and work on innovation questions. These questions are carefully crafted in partnership with local businesses and institutions. Participants benefit from the guidance and mentorship of world-class business and academic leaders, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.

I joined Domori, a chocolate company part of the illy group, with the goal to set up a new business development strategy for the US market and to build in-house e-commerce operations from scratch. In 12 months I designed and developed the first version of Domori’s e-commerce, trained managers for e-commerce logistics and operations, curated new industrial and business relationships in the US West Coast.Domori is a reference point in the world of gourmet chocolate, since it processes exclusively the highest quality varieties of cocoa, above all the Criollo cocoa (which represents less than 0.01% of the cocoa's world harvest) and the Trinitario (less than 8%).

I led a joint-venture between my company, Italia Innovation and Fabrica, Benetton Group’s Communication Research Center, to create an interdisciplinary initiative focused on entrepreneurship and business education.

I served as innovation advisor for the Global General Manager of the company, working on open innovation strategies and curating the relationship between the company, US Universities and innovative start-ups. Before leaving the company, we presented to the company’s board of directors a corporate spin-off (named illy Foundry) with technical operations based in Trieste, Italy and a business development office in San Francisco, California, which had the mission to manage a partnership framework with the raising wave of coffee technology start-ups.

I co-founded and co-directed an international student consultancy program, developed in H-Farm Ventures (Venice) and in partnership with 10 big italian companies (Diesel, Moncler, Salvatore Ferragamo, La Biennale di Venezia, Zamperla, Keyline, Casa Vinicola Zonin, Gruppo Vinicolo Santa Margherita, Selle Royal, Carraro Group).The program involved dozens of students and professors coming from the best Law and Business School of the World.
