Marimba Jam is a vibrant, female-driven company that both teaches and performs in Cape Town.Over the past few years, the growth of our company has been substantial- having a Professional Marimba Band as well as teaching over 500 learners in Cape Town on a weekly basis at the start of 2020. Our Outreach Programs lie close to our hearts and since our first outreach initiative in 2012, we have managed to grow this portfolio into a sustainable program that currently supports multiple outreach school bands.Our company teaches school groups and individuals the African Marimbas on a weekly basis throughout the school year. Last year we started a campaign to inspire the minds of our Youth during the national lockdown. During our harsher lockdown periods, we noticed that many children did not have access to online learning and therefore, without school, weren't able to tap into their creative sides.Our campaign, You for Youth, aims to bring creativity in a box to a child who does not have access to luxuries such as the internet, stationery, art supplies, colouring books, etc.Children need to unleash their imagination and what better way to do that than being creative!
