I am in house immigration counsel at Guardian Healthcare Providers, a healthcare staffing agency. Specifically, I work with the international department who recruits skilled international healthcare professionals to work in US healthcare facilities. Prior to working at Guardian, I have been worked as a contract attorney at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. I performed document review at both the initial and quality control levels and have become proficient in Axcelerate discovery platform. Previously I interned with the Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Art, a non-profit organization that provides pro-bono legal and professional services and resources to low-income artists and arts organizations. I performed client intakes, worked with current clients to identify their issues to connect with an appropriate lawyer or professional, created publications on entertainment and intellectual property topics for our clients, and performed an initial review of client’s entertainment related contracts and organizations’ 501(c)(3) applications.I have also interned at the Law Office of Georgina K. Hughes, a family, bankruptcy, and estate planning firm. I prepared various documents for divorces, such as the complaint, marital dissolution agreement, and parenting plan. I assisted in the preparation of wills and bankruptcy documents. My undergraduate study of arts management focused on the business and administrative aspects of art organizations, combined with the study of various artistic disciplines. It included the study of the management, finances, tax, and organizational structures for profit and not-for-profit arts and entertainment organizations.
