I am an ECE Teacher interested in joining the New Zealand Early Childhood Education Sector as I am passionate about playing an important role in supporting young children along a pathway to a lifetime of learning.Currently, I own and run my own business here in South-Africa called Japsnoet Early Childhood Centre after working with a couple of companies for a few years. Interacting with children on a daily basis and being able to build relationships with not only them, but their families has made this venture so rewarding for me. After leaving high school, I knew that I wanted to become an Early Childhood Teacher straight away so I enrolled with The University of The Freestate, South-Africa. I completed my qualifications and left with an Educational Diploma in Junior Primary Phase Education - Cum Laude, 2002 and a Higher Educational Diploma in Pre Primary Phase - With Distinction in 2003 (Equivalent to NZQF Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Education).Once I had graduated I moved into working mostly with children between the ages of 3 years old and 6 years old at Kontiki Pre-Primary School and then with Accelerated Christian College before starting up my own childcare centre in 2009.I am now in the process of immigrating to New Zealand and am eligible for a Skilled Migrant Visa upon securing a relevant job offer. I have already started learning about the New Zealand Education System, particularly the ECE sector and I am on the way to becoming a fully Qualified and Registered ECE Teacher in New Zealand. Our main motivation for immigrating to New Zealand is because of all the opportunities we will gain as well as being able to one day grow our own family here. I am looking forward to learning as much as possible in the ECE Sector in New Zealand and eventually moving into either a Head Teacher or ECE Centre Management Role.
