About Marina Brumpton
I am passionate about fashion and sewing. Originally I trained as a tailor in Germany and then moved on to do a teaching degree. I still love sitting down with my set of rulers and develop a really good pattern. I have worked with some amazing designers both in germany and England and learnt quite a few tricks of the trade on the way. Teaching Product Design for 6 years has helped me understand what learners find difficult and more importantly what they actually like! I started with a You Tube Channel 'Sew like a Pro' and added a website at https://www.frocksandfrolics.com . I developed my own system for the patterns based on craft patterns. Multi size patterns are very much on the way out as they are difficult to work with and also waste a lot of paper. For me its one file per size so customers can sew products that truly fit and look great! Since 2018 I added an online sewing academy which combines patterns and videos in one place at https://academy.frocksandfrolics.com. I am looking to expand my business and increase sales.
