As I began my university studies being introduced to the field of social work, this in turn encouraged me to narrow my focus on a specific demographic. This is where I discovered my passion for helping and uplifting the youth in our communities. Through transferring over my credit points from a Bachelor of Social Work to a Bachelors of Social Science with a Major of Criminology, this allowed me to explore the Criminal Justice System in greater depth. My hopes for this next chapter post-graduation would consist of applying all the information that I have been fortunate enough to have learned into action. The ultimate goal for me is to challenge the youth to use the adversity they face as an opportunity to transform their lives and to discover their true and fullest potential
