I am a dedicated college student and versatile leader with a proven track record. Accomplished the unique challenge of earning both my high school diploma and associate's degree concurrently while attending a local community college in Poulsbo, WA. I thrived in a dynamic role as a shift-lead server, hostess, and food expediter during high school at a local favorite Thai restaurant, where I trained new employees and ensured smooth nights for the restaurant.I volunteered and later worked as a gymnastics and tennis coach for local youth, coaching in week-long summer camps and weekly lessons throughout the year. I also contributed to environmental awareness by writing an article on Kelp Forest declines in the Puget Sound for Salish Sea Magazine which was my first published article.Currently, I am pursuing a major in Journalism with an Emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Cultural Proficiency at San Diego State University, poised to obtain my bachelor's degree within the next 2 years. I recently accepted a part-time job opportunity as an SDSU Connects Peer Coach for the 2024-25 academic year and am looking forward to being able to grow my leadership and mentorship skills in this position. I also have recently obtained a role as a Social Media Manager for Kachai Thai Kitchen for the summer. I am working with the owner and manager to utilize their Instagram to increase engagement on the account and therefore effectively advertise and market their restaurant. This has been an invaluable opportunity to start building my portfolio and to gain experience in the social media marketing world that will later aid me when I am applying for internships.I am looking forward to using my skills and interests in advancing my future employers' interests as well as gaining the experience necessary to start my career after college.
