Marina Belintani is the CTO at MABE Bio. She holds a BA in Fashion Design from the Universidade Estadual Londrina, a specialisation in Pigments & Dyeing from Central Saint Martins, and an MA in Textiles from the Royal College of Art. Marina is dedicated to contributing to the development of innovative and circular production systems that align with the current global context.With over a decade of experience in the fashion and textile industry, Marina has cultivated a comprehensive understanding of these sectors, including their opportunities and challenges. Her inquisitiveness in exploring the transformative potential of seemingly ordinary materials into high-value products has led her to specialise in Biomaterials. Her work has gained recognition, being featured in media outlets such as the Financial Times and View Magazine, and exhibited in prominent events like the Dutch Design Week and London Design Biennale. Additionally, she has contributed to esteemed platforms including Circle Economy, Future Materials Bank, and Materiom.In her role as the leader of R&D at MABE Bio, Marin believes that Brazil has the potential to emerge as a hub for textile innovation by integrating concepts such as bioeconomy and regenerative design with both new and ancestral technologies.
