My first recollection of my passion for marketing and planning was in the second grade. At our morning rug meeting, our teacher had asked us to think of our biggest goal for the year to later share them aloud. While others expressed their desire to be able to read at the next level or complete their multiplication tables during the allotted time, I revealed that I wanted to plan the “best birthday party ever” in choppy English. For lack of better words, being outgoing was made mandatory for me as a child. A general fear my parents held was my ability to make friends when we moved from the United States from Italy. As most of my classmates knew each other from soccer or dance, I would hop off the school bus to help out in my family’s restaurant. When my father soon realized my strengths lied more so in working on new menu designs and the nightly special board, let’s just say I wasn’t asked to dry silverware anymore.As I’ve gotten to assess what I want my future to look like, my attitude as well as the education I’m pursuing at Fairfield Dolan fuels that desire. My major in Marketing, concentration in Fashion Marketing, and my minor in Public Relations ties my passions in storytelling, innovation, and communication with my goal-oriented outlook. My particular ability to build enthusiastic connections with people from all walks of life makes me hopeful for my future professional endeavors in industries such as fashion, luxury, or entertainment.
