About Marina K.

Marina’s life mission is to enable anyone at any age to be a contributor to social impact. She believes everyone can chart a path that works for their unique personality, skills, and lived experience. Marina is a strategist for: creating cultures of purpose and high-performance at work, cultivating emotional and relational wellness in teams, creating spaces for learning and growth amidst organizational change, and leaning on elders and mentors for wisdom and tactical expertise. Marina is also a specialist in the art of conducting life history interviews, which involves a 2-hour deep dive into key formative influences and leadership experiences. She got her start as a student leader at Stanford University over 20 years ago. As a young leader she co-founded and grew Ashoka U into a global network of hundreds of colleges and universities activating students, faculty, and senior administrators in social impact efforts. She has worn hats ranging from founder, team member, coach, and advisor, to Board Member, and believes there are many roles individuals can play over a lifetime. As a Culture Strategist at Adyton, she supports a diverse team of military veterans and high-tech professionals to serve those on the frontlines through mobile technology. She is a Board Member at CoGenerate, which catalyzes younger and older changemakers to address social and environmental issues collaboratively. She also serves on the Paradigm Project Working Group, which seeks to evolve higher education towards more holistic, student-centered, and inclusive models. Marina was named in the Forbes 30 under 30 for Social Entrepreneurship, received the post-graduate Tom Ford Fellowship in Philanthropy from Stanford University, and is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Northampton. Marina holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University.
