About Marina Krakovsky

As both a reporter and as a ghostwriter, I write about ideas in the social sciences, particularly psychology and economics. My work has appeared in Discover, the New York Times Magazine, O (the Oprah Magazine), Psychology Today, Scientific American and Scientific American Mind, Stanford magazine, the Washington Post, Wired, and more. Also, wearing my content marketing hat, for many years I wrote for Stanford Business magazine and other publications of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as well as for Communications of the ACM, the magazine for computer scientists.Right now, most of my work is in editorial consulting—which includes ghostwriting, developmental editing, online research, and guiding subject-matter experts from idea to publication. I'm intrigued by just about any topic at the intersection of economics and psychology, and by the ways technology is changing the world.

She is as insightful and thoughtful as she is diligent and thorough." (From the Acknowledgements of HOW GOOGLE WORKS)"Marina Krakovsky ... is always creative and insightful, and a heck of an editor to boot. It was a great pleasure to work with you again, Marina!" (From the Acknowledgements of TRILLION DOLLAR COACH)"Smart, honest, clear, insightful, fast. Really great." (Review by Dmitri Mehlhorn, who'd hired me to write a critique of a book idea)"[I needed] to work with a writer who could take my words, stories, and explanations and shape them into a flowing, easy-to-read text while retaining my voice, style, and passion. That writer was Marina Krakovsky. I was really lucky to have a writer who was familiar with the relevant ideas from economics and who had the ability to support these ideas with relevant academic research... I want to thank Marina not only for all this, but also for pushing me through the long, unfamiliar, and sometimes painful process of turning a complex series of ideas into a book anyone can understand." (From author Bill Perkins's Acknowledgements in DIE WITH ZERO)
