About Marina Pacheco

I am a writer and an indie-green. I coined the term indie-green to respresent people working independently to save the planet. Governments and charities do what they can but the world needs more people doing green work. I provide information and training on how people can set up their own green business, charity or social enterprise.I write for the sheer joy of it and am discovering how to get published and make it pay.

The world is facing huge challenges including climate change, agricultural intensification, pollution and biodiversity loss. Government departments and charities barely make a dent in the problem. It’s time more people stepped up and did something about it. I know this is easier said than done. I have met hundreds of people who would like to do green work but haven’t been able to find a job so have given up and now confine their green work to volunteering on projects. We have to find more ways that more people can get involved and this is what I do. Finding ways that enable people to do green work. The SEES Jobs website is filled with useful information and training for anyone who wants to set up as an indie-green as a business, consultancy, start-up, charity or social enterprise. I have produced a free funding cheatsheet (because we all know how hard it is to find the funds) which you can download here: http://seesjobs.com/funding-cheatsheet/Join the SEES Jobs LinkedIn group: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/8487401Join the SEES Jobs Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/seesjobs/Sign up to the newsletter to keep informed on new contracts and news and tips on freelancing: http://eepurl.com/b69yyn
