Are you interested in science, but you think there is much more to be done in terms of sharing our knowledge and making a real impact as scientists?🎯 Then, you and I have common interests, let's collaborate and network! and if you wish to know more about me, here are some highlights:👩🏻🔬 I am passionate, hard-working, and motivated by science. I consider myself an independent worker, but I enjoy teamwork, as I believe science and industry are more successful if there is interdisciplinary collaboration.🔬I have great problem-solving and time management skills, as it is demonstrated in the leadership of my PhD project, consolidating a fruitful public-private collaboration for 4 years. I have 7+ years of international experience as a scientist in 6 different labs, both in Spain and in the UK, in the molecular biology and nutrigenomics fields, where I have optimized SOPs, designed, and conducted 20+ cell culture and preclinical assays🐀💡The growth that my career has provided me with, is especially reflected in my capacity to face problems with critical thinking and empathy, able to deal with deadlines and pressure, meeting KPIs and budget milestones, as is seen, for instance, in how I have managed different international projects during my PhD and my job at the European Institute of Technology.🔊I have excellent communication skills too, both one-to-one and presenting to an audience, with 6 publications in high-impact journals, 7 scientific seminars presented, the mentoring of 5 students in the lab, and moreover, being a university teacher in the Master in Food Systems at the Autonomous University of Madrid.🔍I am also a curious, ambitious, and adaptable person, which is why I decided to move to the UK in 2016 and explore other ways of life. There, I became a volunteer, a builder, a painter, a babysitter, and a waitress, among other professions for a year and a half, to investigate other aspects of life outside of science. However, when I attended a seminar on nutraceuticals in the UK, I landed on reality, as I saw again the need to combine my biochemistry knowledge and the necessity for new treatments, with my desire to solve problems, therefore, I decided to return to Spain and continue my scientific career as an industrial PhD student in the field of nutrigenomics🧬🧑🏻⚕️Thus, this is the reason why I want to continue my career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, where I could contribute to tangible solutions to real problems, and do something transcendent and directly positive for patients 💊
