•Indirect purchasing leader reporting to Plant Manager for both divisions: Turbo and Transmission Systems.•New plant for operations: adequate for all services (create agreements)•Focus on indirect agreements such as: Plant Furniture, Personnel Transportation, Surveillance, Cafeteria Services, Janitorial Services, Landscape, Waste Disposal, employee grocery coupons, vending machines, Machinery installation.•Establish commercial agreements with MRO suppliers and open credit accounts•Award Outsourcing Supplier for Tool Crib.•Create Blanket purchase agreements for Indirect services.•Interaction with US Plants and Corporate in order to follow procedure according to BW Global requirements.•Create indirect purchasing procedure and Requisition forms for both divisions according to BW Global requirements.

• Category Manager Reporting to Indirect Purchasing Manager for US, Canada, Mexico and Central America.•Negotiation of Long Term Agreements for indirect purchasing for all Mexico locations, including service contracts for US locations, Canada and Central America (Honduras)•Responsible of all indirect purchasing for Torreon location with 3 plants with one buyer and one purchasing coordinator reporting to me.•Responsible for commodities such as :MRO, Mobile Equipment, Janitorial Supplies, Printing, Contractor Services, Labels, Packaging, Recreational, Training.•Review annual spend for each commodity and Negotiation with suppliers for discounts according to volume and rebates•Use of Oracle P740 System for purchasing orders and reports such as Spend by buyer in a specific location, by location, by supplier and by item.•Target objective of USD $ 600,000 for 2008 savings.•Negotiation with suppliers of payment terms, from Net 30 to Net 45 and Net 63•Use of leverage for all negotiations, reducing database list of suppliers.

•Weekly review of customer’s requirements and production schedule for 65 machines with capacity from 50 to 750 tonnages.•Participation on new customer products with mold tooling, raw material and expediting.•Daily production report getting performance per machine and reporting it to Corporate

•Responsible for MRO purchasing (indirect materials) with 2 people reporting to my self. •Participation in a program of savings to the company, getting 75,000 usd a year, trough new suppliers, product changes and price negotiation.•Purchasing of direct materials such as packaging, resins, glass, steel and stainless steel and commodities for all finished goods, annual amount of purchasing material for USD $ 7.5 million in 230 different components.•Review of international market prices for steel, corrugated card board and paper.•Pulling materials interplant, helping to deplete obsolete and slow moving components and sending slow moving raw material from this plant to another.•Participation in wrote of procedures for materials area •Handling purchasing with Chinese suppliers and follow up in logistics together with co-workers to make consolidated freights, reduce cost , get benefits and short transit time.•Minimum inventory of 17 rolls, scheduling big lots for a month requirements and bring them at beginning of the month to consume at the end of it.•Run reports every week to get the components with risk of obsolesence and high cost and work direct with customers to use them in a short period and/or use them under deviation and get the minimum inventory goal every month.•Lead with the management all kind of projects offered from suppliers and work with engineering department to get all benefits and implement new designs or new process of materials.
