I hold a Bachelor of Arts in both Sociology and Religious Studies from California State University, Fullerton. During my undergraduate studies, I was a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, where I conducted research on the impact of gentrification on religious institutions. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s in Theology at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) as part of the Haciendo Caminos Fellowship. My academic goal is to become a professor, with a commitment to empowering students and serving as a mentor to help them achieve their aspirations.My hands-on experience in teaching and mentoring youth comes through my volunteer work with the Catholic Church. I hold a basic certification as a Catechist and have supported multiple ministries, focusing on guiding and counseling teenagers. It was through this volunteer work that I discovered my passion for helping young people navigate their spiritual and personal growth.In addition, my background in Human Services, studied at Santa Ana College, further solidified my desire to pursue a career dedicated to serving others, offering me practical insights into community support and engagement.
