Mario joined Aldermore in June 2014 to specialise in sourcing and writing new business for the Bank in the property development sector. New deals originated were development finance facilities for multi-unit residential projects both in London / south east and in the regions.

Mario joined Nationwide as an Assistant Lending Manager in October 2006. After just over two years of assisting various Lending Managers in the entire sales process of all new lending, his new business development and negotiation skills were recognised and was promoted to Lending Manager. Mario now pro-actively manages and restructures the operations of a substantial portfolio of high value and complex property finance loan facilities with a total value of £450m and total existing client base of 80 connections. He also originates a high volume of new lending business to mostly new but also existing customers, whilst cross-selling new commercial deposits and buildings insurance. Mario has hired and manages a dedicated support team, who will assist with the transactions that he originates. Mario's other key duties are to supervise the risk management control of his portfolio by way of annual credit reviews for all connections through collection and monitoring of information to confirm covenant compliance; undertake property inspections and manage cases that have been on the watch list. Mario also delivers timely monthly management information to assist in monitoring his team's performance. Wherever it is appropriate, Mario hosts VIP entertainment at high profile social events. Mario was considered by his peers to be one of the Division's experts in leading sales and negotiations, with a unique style and personality that is adaptable yet sincere with high levels of customer satisfaction fed back on a consistent basis.

Mario joined Bank of Cyprus UK in 2001 initially as a graduate trainee. He enjoyed spells in various branches and was elected by his colleagues to be the sole representative of the London Branches in an Employee Forum that was chaired by the General Manager. Mario went on to be a Business Banker with an SME portfolio in excess of £45m.

At Nortel Networks, Mario co-ordinated the supply chain to ensure that all equipment and services required to build fibre optic network solutions were delivered to Asia in contractual lead-times and within set budget.

Researched the target markets of various clients via interviewing techniques to ascertain opinions on specific products and services and give feedback to HQ on findings.
