About Mario Loera

I am currently a professional state certified hospital phlebotomist and a post-baccalaureate pre-med student working to get into medical school. Once accepted into medical school my goal will be to utilize my bilingual skills and cultural humility background along with a diverse set of skills and expertise that I have acquired professionally. I want to combine this all with my passion for health promotion and healing as a competent and caring physician with a focus on serving medically underserved communities. Knowing personally how important it is to see others like one's self in positions of leadership it is also my goal to serve as a leading physician and mentor to youth from my community with an interest in medicine. I want to impart, particularly to our underprivileged youth, the wisdom of turning life adversities into experiences that compel them to better themselves, their community, their world.
