Support SOFF operations as related to Advisory Board members’ regional and country activities, programs, and projects; facilitate dialogue on programming priorities that create SOFF synergies with Advisory Board members’ regional and country operations and activities. The Advisory Board brings together relevant stakeholders across the meteorological value chain to provide recommendations on the SOFF strategic direction. It is chaired by UNDP and UNEP and among its members are the major multilateral climate funds (AF, CIF,GCF, GEF)Coordinate development and regular updates of the SOFF resource mobilization and outreach strategy and monitor its implementation; coordinate engagement with bilateral, multilateral, and philanthropies (potential) funders, including tracking of funders’ activities and preparation of meetings and consultations with potential funders; act as SOFF Secretariat focal point for fundraising and engagement with potential funders, as well as with strategic initiatives related to SOFF such as the UN Early Warnings for All or Water at the heart of Climate Action.Coordinate SOFF Secretariat engagement with SOFF beneficiary countries; inform beneficiary countries about SOFF and guide them on how to access SOFF resources as well as on SOFF operational rules and procedures; coordinate the reception of beneficiary countries’ requests for SOFF support.

- Support the Development Partnerships department in the establishment of the Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF). SOFF will enhance the capabilities of SIDS and LDCs to forecast extreme weather events and predict the changing climate to manage risks effectively, understand adaptation needs and plan accordingly with systematic and anticipatory action.- Coordinate and facilitate implementation of the Integrated Global Greenhouse Gas Information System (IG3IS) technical activities, working actively with existing partners, developing pilot projects, promoting IG3IS initiative, assisting with the establishment of potential pilot projects and collaboration activities. Continue and enhance engagement of the user community in IG3IS activities, including implementation of activities under a collaboration agreement with UNFCCC
