With +20 years of experience, I am the Chief Bidding & Commercial Officer of WSP in Spain, a world´s leading engineering consulting firm with over 65,000 talented people in more than 600 offices across 40 countries.My career path began back in 2005 when I worked as project engineer in APIA XXI, a spanish boutique engineering firm. During the following years I was acting as Project Manager leading several Construction Supervision Highway Projects and in 2008 mobilized to the company´s HQ to Lead the BoQ/Cost Estimate and Department.In 2010, the company opened a new branch in Florida, US and I was in charge of running the Business Development in the US Eastern Region. Two years later, in 2012 Louis Berger, acquired APIA XXI and since then I have assumed different roles working in a wide international engineering market (US, Middle East, LATAM…), always focus in Businees Development and working closely to the Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer in Spain to establish the integration process in terms of policies, procedures, tools, forms, key controls, etc. With the acquisition by WSP in December 2018, I was the Commercial & Business Development Director, leading the commercial growth of the company in Spain and Portugal as well as improving the synergies and collaboration with other WSP operations worldwide.From 2022, with the acquisition of BOD Arquitectura e Ingeniería, I was promoted to Chief Bidding & Commercial Officer becoming part of the Leadership Team of the WSP spanish operation. My profile equally combines my responsibilities and strengths as Business Executive Leader and my technical skills as engineer due to my Master Degree in Civil Engineering earned from University of Cantabria. As part of my personal commitment to improve my profesional career, in 2021 I earned an Executive MBA from ESEUNE Business School in partnership with Georgetown University.
