About Mario Weiss

I am a professional inventor at Creaholic with a specialization in industrial design, product development and project leadership.I love challenging common assumptions, collaborating in international, interdisciplinary teams and working on new ways of doing things.I have a background as a design engineer working in the orthopedic field, designing and specifying surgery tools and implants. During my industrial design studies I set my focus on consumer and sports products out of the interest in product - interaction, - ergonomics, - strategy.I started my professional career as a team member of the UK based design consultancy The Alloy working on design assignments for consumer electronic products with a focus on the telecommunication and broadcasting industry. Back in Switzerland I worked on several projects for the machine industries designing laboratory equipment, measurement devices and wheelchairs.For the past years I have been a team member at Creaholic where I have been enjoying the diversity of project challenges ranging from the development and design of several wearable devices, medical tools, consoles and their UI, bicycles, filtration technologies and supporting start-ups from initial research and conceptualization through product design, prototyping, testing and final industrialization.
