I am an experienced multimedia journalist at home in the fast-paced world of news and social media. I have produced and directed radio shows and created innovative broadcast projects. So I know how to work with reporters and guests to help create quality content for television, radio and online platforms. A big part of my work in recent years has been to help develop the digital and social presence for CBC. My specialties include social media content creation, arts, music, sports and talk programming, as well as breaking news and local and network news production. My enthusiasm and work ethic have been hallmarks of my career and I thrive in deadline driven environments.Some accomplishments I’m most proud of:· Helped grow the @CBCOttawa and @OttawaMorning social media brand by being a driving contributor· Conceptualized and produced Aboriginal Canada Reads, a live national digital CBC broadcast featuring authors Joseph Boyden and Waubgeshig Rice· Led high-energy, live election and budget coverage programs· Created and produced award-winning and on-the-ground shows including the One-Year Anniversary of 9-11 at Ground Zero in New York and the funeral of Pierre Trudeau in Montreal· Produced and directed the radio telethon for the Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto; helping to raise millions of dollars for care and research· As a magazine writer I have won the prestigious National Magazine Award (NMA) for my work in Outdoor Canada and have several runners up nods as well
