Dr. Mario Chiasson is known for his practical insights on learning innovation. More than 25 years of experience in the education system, Mario is the Director of Research, Innovation & Change Management for District scolaire francophone Sud as well as an associate researcher at the Université de Moncton in New-Brunswick, Canada. He is currently the Chief Research Investigator of a longitudinal research project called "Intr'Appreneur: Tomorrow's Education Today". Through out is career, Mario has helped countless organizations and institutions (schools, districts, ministries, colleges, universities, business and communities) to navigate through disruptive change, develop innovation capabilities and drive continuous improvement. Assisting them in system transformation, Mario also has design spaces/buildings (physical, digital and hybrid) that influences the learning and the teaching process to develop new skills aligned with the innovative society.Mario holds a Bachelors degree in Physical Education with two concentration (Math and Science), a Masters in school administration with a focus on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and a Ph.D in Education on Innovative Learning Environment. Mario has been a teacher, a Technology Mentor, a programmer, an ICT Supervisor, a Technology & Vocational Trades Subject Coordinator, and a Supervisor of Data and Accountability. He is a Microsoft Innovative Teacher, a Cisco IT Essential Teacher, an Apple Distinguished Educator, an Apple Certified Trainer. He has been part of many provincial projects including 1 to 1 laptop/iPad projects deployment, learning commons and new school designs. In 2008, Mario was the Canadian ICT Specialist in Cameroon, Africa where he contributed to the development of a college "Centre Professionnel Don Bosco de Mimboman". Mario’s personalized approach of real-world experience, enthusiastic style and applied research enables him to assist leaders to rethink and find innovative ways to improve the learning.
