Cold Fire is a leading large format printer and sign shop in San Antonio, Texas. We are known for high quality custom tailored products. One of my favorite things about this job, is seeing my designs go from just an idea, through design, production and finally out in the physical world. Some of my responsibilities include: creating logos, identity systems, corporate office branding, wall murals, dimensional graphics, vehicle wraps, storefront graphics, posters, flags, banners, brochures, flyers, business cards, trade show graphics, and signs of all kinds. Other duties include: client meetings, pre-flighting and converting client art to production ready files, site surveys, template creation, color matching, press checks, production management, and installation instruction. In the current pandemic, I've designed custom acrylic barriers for various types of businesses, as well as a prototype face shield. I enjoy woodworking and making things with my hands. I'm usually the go-to when we need ideas for something custom fabricated or for unique installations. For in-house shop needs, I designed and built our two massive rolling production tables, various substrate racks, and production board. When I started at Cold Fire I split my time doing graphic design as well as working on the production side operating flat bed printers, roll-fed printers, vinyl plotters, and flat bed cutter. As our production volume and demand for design increased, I shifted into the roll of lead designer and no longer run any of the equipment aside from the CNC router, which I like to keep up on for my interest in fabrication and woodworking.
