Both my roles were full of internal, and more often - external communication with C-level executives, sales people, marketing people and engineers. Nextcloud is a private file sync & share and communication server. Co-lead the engineering and product side of the Nextcloud Android app from January 2017 - active installs for the primary app rose from 40k to over 300k+ - designed and shipped features for private label customers with many millions of users - introduced processes and documentation that resulted in easier future development and contributors engagementLead the engineering and product side of the Nextcloud Talk (for Android) from October 2017 - one of the few fully self-hosted free sofware audio/video communication tools available.Total active users overall is close to half a million in public plus many more millions through private label installations.

Innovative hosting company with its own cloud orchestration software that at the time could counter any existing market offering with its innovative user experience and tight integration of all involved components.From its humble beginnings, grew the company to several thousands satisfied clients worldwide, significant revenue with just two full time employees and an amazing product built in several iterations by constantly listening to customers and market feedback, along with constant experimentation and internal testing all the way to its exit.The company was acquired.

Assisted clients with designing and scaling high-performance high-availability setups before DevOps was popular.VPSbuddy has been merged into Lovely HQ Ltd. as of January, 2014.

Worked as part of ReviewBoard organization to deliver kick-ass installer to this awesome web application that helps people all around the world write better code.

One of 900 student participants selected out of over 6200 applications to the program. Worked with Michael Vogt of Apt and Synaptic fame as my mentor to improve Ubuntu's optical disc recording stack, with particular attention given to integration of Libburnia project. Project involved various packaging tasks for Ubuntu and writing improvements to components of Libburnia project.

Mentored three students for Ubuntu & Bazaar, guiding them through community processes and development practices, providing encouragement, giving constructive criticism and having fun.
