Led a dynamic group of 30-35 full-stack, backend, frontend, and mobile engineers, including 2 senior managers and a staff engineer, focused on Retailer Growth within the organization. Oversaw the strategic direction and execution of projects across Top-of-funnel, Acquisition, Activation, Lifecycle, and Open with Faire pods, enhancing collaboration and innovation to drive significant advancements in retailer engagement and platform growth.As the first Engineering Group Lead within the pilar, I played a key role in shaping the position's core responsibilities and strategic significance. My duties involved fostering collaboration between engineering teams and cross-functional partners, crafting strategic roadmaps and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and aligning our engineering efforts with the wider goals of the organization.Drove team growth and built a positive culture by leading hiring and onboarding, guiding individual development, and dynamically adjusting team structures to meet goals. Focused on creating a supportive environment that values inclusivity, open feedback, and strong collaboration, resulting in enhanced team performance and a cohesive, engaged workplace.Managed directly the Tofu pod (4-6 engineers), spearheading SEM and SEO strategies. Developed and implemented a data-driven pipeline and automation system to generate thousands of keyword-relevant e-commerce product pages, addressing unique challenges and significantly enhancing online visibility. Applied a hypothesis-driven approach to stabilize volatile keyword rankings through targeted internal linking, demonstrating measurable improvement (30% YoY growth). Owned clear KPIs related to SEO, contributing to the company’s north star metric of Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).
