I had responsibility of the life cycle management of KONE information displays and touch screen user interface devices. My responsibility was to ensure market coverage, reliability, high quality, cost competitiveness and disturbance-free operational process of the products and manage implementation of all changes (mechanical, electrical, software) made in the products over the life cycle. My duties included analysis of offering versus market need and analysis of product feedback and reliability data to identify opportunities for improvement. I was closely collaborating with different KONE functions such as business, sourcing and supplier quality management globally.

I carried full management responsibility of display (LCD and AM-OLED) and touch screen module development projects for smart phones from initial concept phase, running the RFQs including supplier selection to product ramp-up. My main tasks were managing and steering mechanics, electronics and optics specification and implementation, verification planning, process assessments, quality assurance, risk management, scheduling, documentation, reporting and technology studies. Key focus in high quality. I had very close cooperation with key suppliers. I acted as a primary technical contact point between product program and display&touch supplier.

I was responsible for electronics implementation of several display module projects for mobile phones and the system design of display and camera for a phone engine. My duties included electronics design (FPWB), EMI/EMC, logical interfaces, measurements, specifying requirements and documentation. I was driving the development of hardware graphics accelerator. I was closely co-operating with suppliers.
