Supported statewide and national philanthropic leaders to collaborate and invest in the future of marginalized postsecondary students. Documented shared engagement perspectives across the California postsecondary landscape through policy and advocacy, research, and practice. Guided and facilitated all project components—annual funder collaborative strategy meetings, quarterly funder meetings, collaborative working groups, and recording shared priorities—by conducting research, developing pre/post-meeting surveys, creating agendas, facilitation guides, and presentation materials.

Conducted qualitative research identifying the needs of primary and secondary higher education stakeholders across the state of California. Managed a team of five in the development of interview protocols, coding, and analysis procedures using Dedoose software. Analyzed, reported, and communicated regional and statewide data to the California Governor’s Council for Post-Secondary Education Taskforce members and internal clients. Presented regional and statewide research findings emerging from the research and taskforce recommendations to produce a roadmap for the state’s education leaders, government, and philanthropic institutions to ensure that California’s public post-secondary institutions recover from the impacts of COVID-19 more integrated, equitable, and resilient than before—and more aligned with the economic needs of the state.

Supported the Chair-elect with all regional programs, including membership and regional conference planning. Coordinated with and served as a resource to State Representatives for planning events held within their states, such as workshops and mini-conferences.

Conducted quantitative and qualitative research and presents institutional data trends regarding students, accreditation requirements for state and federal requirements in narrative and graphic formats. Coordinated collected data for statutory requirements and documents the university's progress in meeting state, federal, and accrediting agencies' accountability standards. Prepared reports to the university's accreditation agency, namely Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, United States Department of Education, and the Veteran's Administration. Highlights: *Provides support and training on the use and analysis of data related to the effective practice of continuous quality improvement across departments. *Prepares quarterly reports related to enrollment, retention, graduation, demographics, student satisfaction, and evaluation of student learning outcomes. *Maintains relationships with all departments to ensure that current information needs are identified and met, and future information needs are anticipated. *Serves as a liaison and provided necessary support for the university’s organizational effectiveness, planning, accreditation, evaluation, and program assessment activities.

Hired, managed, evaluated, and developed Strayer University’s full-time and part-time faculty who teach online or on-ground in human resources management, public administration, education, and health services administration programs. Ensured tmfaculty members provided excellent classroom instruction that upheld the highest standards of academic integrity. Created and implemented faculty development programs on a variety of instructional topics, including improving student self-efficacy, engagement, academic success, career readiness, and retention.

Served as school’s chief academic officer and provided administrative oversight to all academic operations of the Maya Angelou Young Adult Learning Center. *AccomplishmentsInstructional Leadership -Successfully achieved instructional goals set by District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (PCSB) in the areas of academic achievement, GED completions, and attainment of workforce credentials. -Implemented standards-based curriculum planning and professional development for instructors, resulting in improved quality of instruction. -Introduced new and engaging learning technologies to support the development of students' basic math and reading skills. Program Innovation-Improved the fidelity of assessment data by revising testing protocols. Decreased testing times from 3-4 hours to 1-2.5 hours. Changes resulted in higher academic achievement and an improvement in students' attitudes toward testing. -Instituted alternative scheduling to increase the rate of students' GED attainment. Implemented individual learning plans with a subject-specific focus resulting in an increase in successful exam completions. Creating Community Partnerships -Established a partnership with RISE-DC (formerly RICH) to provide on-site, academic support in Reading/Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Math. Tutoring support facilitated achievement of instructional goals.

Provided leadership in all instructional and academic support systems within the Adult Education Division at Malcolm X College. *AccomplishmentsCreating Community Partnerships-Developed and maintained relationships with community-based organizations interested in implementing Adult Education programs. Provided effective two-way channel of communication between administration and site providers to ensure the integrity of the educational programs, the currency of the offerings, and the innovation of new technologies. Developing Career Bridge Programs-Revised Healthcare Bridge program to include stricter admissions requirements. Integrated use of panel interviews to assess student readiness, intensive advising, and tracking student performance. Used data to modify program admission policies. Curriculum Assessment & Development -Wrote intensive ESL immersion program proposal for student delegation from the People’s Republic of China. The program provided a complete immersion in the English language using themes from Chicago history and culture. Classes are team-taught by two veteran ESL teachers, along with guest lecturers. The program focused on building communicative skills (listening and speaking) and critical thinking. Managing Budgets & Grants -Developed $2.2 million operating budget consisting of employee salaries and benefits, materials and supplies, tuition grants and waivers, and travel. Created spending plans for various state and federal grants exceeding $500k. Wrote grant narratives and created spending plans to use funding before the end of the grant period. Served as Principal Investigator for Adult Education grants and served on the college's Grants Management Committee. Provided feedback and direction for grants across the college including, Carl Perkins, Head Start, TriO (Upward Bound), Assessing Health Careers, and Health Professions Pathways.

Served as the chief assistant to the Dean of Adult Education at Wilbur Wright College in the areas of academic policy, student admissions, curriculum research and development, faculty recruitment and retention and budget development and administration. Acted as the administrator in charge of the entire department in the absence of the Dean, Adult Education. Served as weekend and/or evening administrator for the College. *Provided for an effective two-way channel of communication between the administration and faculty to ensure the integrity of the educational programs, the currency of the offerings, and the innovation of appropriate new technologies within the department. *Identified and recommended staffing needs to the Dean. Interviewed and recommended to the Dean selection of part-time faculty. Evaluated part-time faculty and recommends retention or non-retention.*Prepared and developed budgets for the division in cooperation with the Business Office. Assists the Dean in monitoring the budget. Developed and implemented procedures for the request, purchase and maintenance of instructional equipment and supplies and ensures the maintenance of accurate inventory control. *Coordinated and directed the evaluation, review and implementation of innovative curriculum additions and revisions, course outlines and syllabi and textbook selection. Ensured the integrity of the educational programs, the currency of the offerings, and the innovation of appropriate new technologies within the department.*Used computer software to prepare memoranda and spreadsheet reports detailing activities and statistics.
