We are particularly interested in positive social impacts for communities that have historically been on the periphery of access to opportunity, participation and influence in the United States.We believe that when the community of tech leaders reflects the diversity of the United States, tech will play an integral role in closing gaps and disparities that exist in this country. Via proven and experimental methods from the for-profit and nonprofit fields, we work in partnership with a diverse set of stakeholders to maximize social impact.

www.newamericanleaders.orgFounded in 2010, the New American Leaders Project recruits recognized individuals with a track record of civic involvement and trains them in the key skills needed for leadership from the community to the Capitol. We provide new American leaders with a non-partisan, safe space in which they can learn about the challenges and opportunities of citizenship commitment and determine how they can best contribute to making our democracy stronger and more vibrant. Our goals are threefold: to expand the number of immigrants in leadership positions, increase voter participation in immigrant communities and allow immigrant voters more opportunities to engage with leaders who reflect their unique experiences.

We serve leaders in the philanthropic community working to further this vision with heightened attention to issues of equity and historically disenfranchised and underrepresented communities. Our members support non-partisan efforts to engage voters, eliminate structural barriers to voting, advance reforms to improve government and electoral systems, and inspire public involvement in civic life.FCCP provides funders with a community in which to build connections, a stage for showcasing innovations, a forum for strategic dialogue and collaboration, and a resource for civic participation research, tools and news.
